PSG boss Unai Emery backs Edinson Cavani to be a success this season, but played down comparing him to Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani has said he is “excited” and “motivated” for the start of his Ligue 1 season against FC Metz on Sunday.
Cavani missed the 4-1 Trophee des Champions win over Lyon and the 1-0 Ligue 1 victory away at Bastia with a thigh problem.
Speaking to the official PSG website, the Uruguay international emphasised his “frustration” at having missed the first two competitive matches of the Unai Emery era.
