RUMORS: Zidane demands a Madrid move for Pogba
The European champion initially bowed out of the battle to lure the 23-year-old Juventus midfielder to the Spanish capital but the coach has insisted the side re-enters the race.
Zinedine Zidane has insisted that Real Madrid re-enter the race to sign Juventus star Paul Pogba, according to AS.
The European champion conceded defeat to Manchester United in the battle to lure the 23-year-old midfielder, admitting the club cannot compete with the financial power of the Premier League club.
However, Los Blancos’s inability to sign Andre Gomes from Valencia, who opted to join Barcelona, has prompted Zidane to signal to president Florentino Perez to give it another go at buying the highly-coveted France international.
The French coach believes Pogba is the midfielder who can enhance the team’s midfield as Madrid looks to retain its Champions League crown and regain its status at the top of Spanish football.
