Arsenal are in pursuit of Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi, after his agent Wanda Nara has become embroiled in a public spat with Milan’s sporting director Piero Ausilio.

However, Arsenal’s fans on social media have questioned as to how negotiations between the two parties would unfold should Icardi seek a move away from the San Siro.

Nara has previously voiced her disgust that Inter’s captain was being forced out of the club. As a result she took to her own Twitter page to suggest that Icardi would be seeking a new club this summer as she posted ‘Calciomercato’ which translates as transfer window.

With the Gunners searching for a new striker to ease the burden on Frenchman Olivier Giroud, supporters on Twitter have tried to imagine how scenes would unfold in the boardroom.

Icardi’s agent has developed a reputation for taking no nonsense, and Gunners fans fear Arsene Wenger may find himself in all sorts of bother when bought face to face with Nara.

Meanwhile, there’s also concern that trouble could emerge at the Emirates should Icardi put pen to paper with the Gunners.

Nara has insisted that she is no trouble at all however, and that she has been simply tarnished with the wrong brush.
