Liverpool are mulling over a last-minute bid for Dinamo Zagreb winger and Juventus target Marko Pjaca, according to Calcio Mercato, which claims that the Reds have not given up on the player despite him being heavily linked with the Serie A champions.
The Italian side are thought to be close to securing the player’s signature, and expect to wrap up the move within the next few days.
The report also claims that the Reds are confident of missing out on chief target Piotr Zielinski, and view Pjaca as a great alternative.
However, Jurgen Klopp is said to be in constant communication with Zielinski, as per Italian journo Emanuele Giulianelli who tweeted: “Klopp is in continuous contact with Zielinski: despite verbal agreements between Udinese and Milan, the player pushes to join Liverpool.”

Pjaca scored 12 goals for Zagreb last season, and also represented his native Croatia at the Euros.
Liverpool will have to get a move on if they are to make good on their interest, as respected journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Juventus have already reached an agreement with Zagreb over a transfer for the player.
It is understood that a medical will be completed in short order, and that the deal should cost Juventus anything between €20m – €22m.
The Reds are usually the ones who get their transfers hijacked, but they are looking to turn the tables in this case for the talented midfielder. Klopp is said to be aiming for a massive overhaul this summer, having already cut players from his squad.
