Watford have completed the signing of Colombian international wing-back Juan Camilo Zuniga on a season-long loan from Napoli, the fourth new face at Vicarage Road after the arrivals of Jerome Sinclair, Christian Kabasele and Isaac Success.

The Hornets have the option of a permanent deal further down the line and Zuniga will reunite with former Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri in Hertfordshire after spending four years working with the Italian coach on the Amalfi Coast.

The experienced 30-year-old, who gained global notoriety in 2014 after making the challenge that ended Neymar’s World Cup, spent the second half of last season on loan with Bologna.

Zuniga will bring pace to the Watford team in wide areas and his versatility adds strength to the squad as whole.

He could compete with Allan Nyom for a position at right-back, play further up the field as a more attacking winger, or his arrival could signal Mazzarri’s intention to use a typically Italian 3-5-2 formation with wing-backs.
