Napoli’s ‘official radio station’ Radio Kiss Kiss is said to have announced that Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain will be joining Arsenal in exchange for Olivier Giroud and €50m+.
Ita Sport Press, part the Gazzetta dello Sport network, made the following claim: “Higuain will go to Arsenal.”
They went on to explain: “According to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, the official radio station of the Neapolitan club, the rumours about Juventus are true, but in the end Pipita will go abroad.
“Arsenal will be the next team of the former Real Madrid player: the Gunners, who have put on the plate 50 million Euros plus the card of French striker Olivier Giroud, are looking to make some cash with sales in order to increase the economic part of ‘offering’.”
Nothing has surfaced on the radio station’s website or Twitter account as yet, so we aren’t left with much of a choice, but to take Ita Sport Press’ word for it, but other sources have claimed as much.
Higuain has been one of the most sought-after players in the summer transfer window, with several clubs in for his signature. He had a marvelous campaign with Napoli last season, scoring 36 Serie A goals in 35 appearances, also breaking the record for most goals scored in a single season.

Gunnar Nordahl’s record had been standing since the 1949-1950 season, but in a match against Frosinone, the 28-year-old scored a hat trick in 20 minutes to create his own milestone.
Arsenal fans are visibly annoyed with the club’s lazy approach when it comes to signing forwards, but an acquisition of this magnitude should shut them up for the next few years.
