Inter Milan and Croatian star Ivan Perisic has emerged as a transfer target for Arsenal whilst Theo Walcott’s future at the Emirates remains unclear, reports talkSPORT.

Currently on international duty for Croatia at Euro 2016, the 27-year-old has been the subject of interest from Premier League rivals Chelsea, as well as German side Borussia Dortmund.

Perisic has impressed on the big stage this summer, scoring the winner against European champions Spain, as Croatia came from behind to top Group D.

Meanwhile, Theo Walcott has endured a difficult campaign, and was unable to force himself into Roy Hodgson’s final-23 for this summer’s tournament in France.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a move away from North London, with Liverpool rumoured as a possible destination.

TalkSPORT state that reports across Italy suggest that Perisic is the latest player to be linked with a move to the Premier League side.

Premier League champion Riyad Mahrez has been constantly linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium following Leicester City’s remarkable 2015-16 campaign, with Arsenal one of several interested parties.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is another name rumoured to have interested manager Arsene Wenger.

However, it appears Perisic is now the front runner as Theo Walcott’s replacement, despite Inter Milan outlaying just under £13m for the Croat last summer.

TalkSPORT did not speculate on what Arsenal would be prepared to pay, however his performances at Euro 2016, following on from an impressive first season at the San Siro are likely to have boosted the midfielder’s cost.
